Windermere West
Because of the tremendous appeal and success of Windermere, the western addition was begun in 1994. Like Windermere, the western sector has narrow streets covered by trees with the exception of the impressive main access road, which is the first boulevard-style road system on Lake Martin.
While the development was influenced by city standards for road construction and underground utilities, the desire for rustic architecture was more closely embraced in Windermere West - providing many early influences on later developments like the Ridge and Willow Glynn.
